Food establishments, including school cafeterias, have a serious responsibility to safely provide food to the people they serve. There are many ways in which diners can be sickened, including improper storage and temperatures, hygiene lapses, and cross contamination. This introduction to food safety basics can help to improve understanding of easy, effective ways to keep food safe in your school’s cafeteria.
